The International Journal of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (IJGEB) is a scholarly, peer-reviewed journal devoted to research and developments in genetic engineering, biotechnology, gene manipulation, and applied biological sciences. The journal provides a forum for original theoretical, experimental, computational, and applied research ranging from fundamental studies of genetic and microbial systems to advanced biotechnology applications. The journal particularly welcomes research involving microorganisms and their applications in industrial biotechnology, environmental processes, fermentation, bioproduct development, and sustainable technologies. Contributions addressing the interaction between genetic research, biotechnology, environmental challenges, and sustainable development are also encouraged.

The International Journal of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology aims to facilitate the dissemination of technically sound research and promote the exchange of knowledge among researchers, academics, scientists, and biotechnology practitioners working across genetic engineering, microbial biotechnology, and related applied biological sciences.

Types of Contributions:
Research Articles: These should present original and carefully documented research findings. Experimental, computational, theoretical or applied procedures should be described in sufficient detail to allow the work to be evaluated and, where appropriate, reproduced.

Short Communications: These are suitable for reporting concise but complete findings, new observations, methodological developments, innovative approaches, or other significant results that can be communicated effectively in a shorter format.

Review Articles: Reviews and perspectives covering significant and current topics within the scope of the journal are welcome. Review manuscripts are subject to peer review.

Publication Frequency: Two issues per year.
