The International Journal of Fisheries and Aquaculture Sciences (IJFAS) is a scholarly, peer-reviewed journal devoted to research and developments in fisheries, aquaculture, aquatic biology, and related aquatic sciences. The journal provides a forum for original research, reviews, and interdisciplinary studies addressing biological, ecological, technological, environmental, economic, and management aspects of marine and freshwater aquatic resources.

The journal welcomes research covering aquatic organisms and ecosystems from fundamental biological investigations to applied fisheries and aquaculture studies. Contributions addressing sustainable management, aquatic environmental challenges, aquatic animal health, and developments in fisheries and aquaculture practices are also encouraged.

The journal welcomes experimental, field-based, observational, analytical, modelling, and applied research, as well as comprehensive reviews that contribute to the understanding, sustainable use, management, and development of fisheries and aquatic resources. The International Journal of Fisheries and Aquaculture Sciences aims to facilitate the dissemination of technically sound research and promote the exchange of knowledge among researchers, academics, fisheries professionals, aquaculture practitioners, resource managers, and other specialists working across fisheries and aquatic sciences.

Types of Contributions:
Research Articles: These should present original and carefully documented research findings. Experimental, computational, theoretical or applied procedures should be described in sufficient detail to allow the work to be evaluated and, where appropriate, reproduced.

Short Communications: These are suitable for reporting concise but complete findings, new observations, methodological developments, innovative approaches, or other significant results that can be communicated effectively in a shorter format.

Review Articles: Reviews and perspectives covering significant and current topics within the scope of the journal are welcome. Review manuscripts are subject to peer review.

Publication Frequency: Two issues per year.
